Before mapping, an ER diagram contains an entity’s attributes and a relationship or the association among the entities (Elmasri, 2021). The mapping process starts by creating a table to identify the relationship, and the primary keys are then added for the various participating entities and their data types. Secondly, fields of the table are added if the relationship has an identified attribute. Thirdly, a primary key composing is declared for the primary keys under the participating entities. Lastly, all foreign key constraints are declared (Elmasri, 2021).
