Answer preview
Israel is another country that has a national service program. Just as it is under the UAE program, conscription into Israel’s program is also mandatory, with Jews, Druze, and Circassians aged eighteen years and above having to take part in the program (Gal, 2016). Both Jewish males and females must participate; however, mandatory participation is only for the males within the Druze and Circassians. Unlike the Jews and the rest, Arabs have the option of not taking part in the Israeli national service program (Gal, 2016). Men normally spend about two years and an additional six months in this program, while women only take two years. The period might be longer for both genders, depending on the roles they play.
