Imagine if one of the villains or other wicked characters from this week’s readings were suddenly transported to our world and had to face life in contemporary society.

Write a 700 or more word short story about the character you selected. Within the context of your story, consider the following:

• Does the character experience a culture shock? If so, what aspects of contemporary culture are most foreign to the character?
• What factors contribute to his or her adjustment difficulties?
• Does the character overcome these difficulties and adapt eventually? Does she or he even want to adapt?
• Is the character able to change his or her wickedness? Does he or she want to? Is he or she still considered evil in contemporary society?
