Setting a SMART goal is essential since this helps an individual to clarify his/her ideas, focus on the efforts, and use resources effectively. Such considerations assist in increasing the chances of achieving the goals. My current objective is to achieve three goals which are education achievement, career, and financial success. The SMART goal template whose acronym means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely is a helpful tool for developing the goals (Haughey, 2015).
