Malicious software, popularly known as malware refers to either files or programs that are harmful to a computer because they have the effect of stealing, deleting and encrypting personal data, illegally monitoring computer usage and altering the normal functioning of machines. There are different types of malicious software with varying features and those that execute themselves on specific locations of a computer. Determining the type and location of malware present on the computers is easy because the device starts to have some changes in its normal functioning and operations.
