For Strategic Control section you want to be able to measure results against a standard to gauge the progression to the objective. In your opinion:

  1. What are the three most import objectives or milestones do you need to attain to meet your overall objective of your strategy.
  2. Why do you feel these objectives are the three most important.
  3. How are you going to measure them? Remember-results against the standard.

Each control mechanism should have as part of its components:

  1. Attainability-raise the bar, but ensure they are realistic goals that challenge the organization. If they are unattainable the organization will fail–if they are too easy the organization looses opportunity.
  2. Accountability-who is responsible to ensure the objective is met
  3. Quantifiable– how are you going to measure the strategy?
    1. when will it be attained (identify the time period)
    2. what is the financial impact (dollars or percentage) of both revenue and expense

The three most important objectives I need to attain to meet my overall objective of the strategy include firstly, to increase our differentiated products catalog by 30 percent by 2020 particularly through technological innovations. Secondly, to increase customer subscription from the current 54 million to 80 million by 2020 (DMR, 2018), through initiatives that will enhance subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention.
