According to LoFaso (2018), the aging process is a normal process for all people, and it’s characterized by physical, physiological and psychological changes in the body. As people age, the bones reduce in size and density with muscles and joints generally weakening and losing flexibility leaving aged people more susceptible to fractures, sprains and other musculoskeletal ailments. Moreover, the skin becomes thinner, dry, and brittle resulting in the formation of wrinkles. This is as a result of the loss of turgor and elasticity of blood vessels due to slowed heart activity.
