Some multiple definitions and concepts revolve around spiritual care. However, from my perception, spiritual care refers to the form of care, which supports the religious beliefs of the patient. It should be regardless of the different spiritual expectations of the caregiver who attends to the needs of the patient. Although specific methods cannot be applied to offer spiritual care to the patient. It is because practices will differ based on the different spiritual needs of patients from various religions. Nonetheless, my definition of spiritual care accords with that of Judith Allen Shelly.
