It is a 33.5-inch wooden statue covered in gemstones and gold, and its first recording was in 1010 CE (Foster, 2018). The Reliquary is made of wood but is covered variables that make it luxurious. The gemstones and gold are sparkling in the light. In the statue, Sainte Foy is portrayed sited, arms outstretched and giving the viewer a direct stare. Her blank stare, in this case, is viewed to reflect a transcendence from life here on earth. The statue has a direct connection to the Roman church of the time. The repurposing of Roman artifacts and the use of Spolia gives a direct connection to the statue of Rome…
