Essay #2: Single-Source 5 Paragraph Essay
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate the skills you have learned this semester by writing a 5 paragraph essay using correct paragraph structure, MLA format, and in-text citations. You will use only the second book, Voices from the Field, as your source for this essay. This essay will include and Introduction, 3 Body Paragraphs, and a Conclusion.
MLA format:
- Proper heading (your name, instructor name, class name, date)
- Times New Roman Font
- 12pt
- Double Spaced
- NO extra bolding or letters larger or smaller than 12pt
- Book title is underlined
- In-text citations following a quote: (author last name page number) ex: (Smith 22).
The Essay:
Write a 5 paragraph essay about 3 issues or problems facing the children of migrant workers. You should have identified these issues in class or as you read the book. Each body paragraph will discuss 1 issue and should include 3 ideas about that issue. You will need to use quotes to support each idea. Follow the outline below to help you organize your ideas and construct a well formed essay. A passing paper should include each element and demonstrate that you understand how to construct an essay and the parts of each paragraph (i.e. Introduction, Body, Conclusion).
