Sitting Bull was a famous Indian chief in the region of Teton Dakota (today, South Dakota). He was born in 1831 by a Sioux worrier. Thus, he grew up following his father’s footsteps. As an aspiring worrier, he killed the first buffalo at age 10. At 14, he joined his father in raiding, demonstrating that the young worrier was indeed brave.
