Answer preview

A lot of people around the globe are attracted to the lifestyle embraced in the United States. As such, many of them have aspirations to make their way to the United States or support and facilitate their children to undertake such a venture. The primary motivator for such a course of action is the hope that doing this will improve their lives, especially when individuals are able to take advantage of the opportunities present within the country. In essence, this phenomenon is referred to as the pursuit of the American Dream, which denotes a set of ideas, rights, liberty, democracy, equality, and opportunity, which give immigrants the chance to succeed and prosper in their lives. Attraction to the American Dream is predominantly due to the fear that remaining in one’s home country will not accord them access to many opportunities to prosper in their lives. Thus, this paper will be looking at whether the strategy by parents to pursue the American Dream is an effective one.
