One of the most notable actions of Dr. King was the Montgomery bus boycott and the Washington march. The Montgomery bus boycott started with a woman who refused to give up her seat to a white man, and she was arrested. Rosa Parks was seated in the “black section” when she was forced out of her chair, and her arrest sparked outrage in many blacks as she was not the first black American to be forced out of a bust seat (Liu, 2022). Shortly after Rosas trial began, a woman known as Robinson wrote many handbills and passed them in schools condemning the act. Rosa was found guilty of breaking segregation law which led to the Washington match led by Dr. King. The joined Park’s Washington match led to the beginnings of the Montgomery bus boycott.
The March on Washington was one of the crucial events in American history as it truly changed the tides. Dr. King was not a man who could be put down without a fight. He still stood tall even after the Montgomery bus boycott. However, there is still a need for the civil rights movement in American society due to the many issues facing Blacks. One of the
