There are several measures that I would enact in my organization to prevent server sprawl. First, I would apply few high-performance servers instead of numerous servers with limited performance capabilities. This will enable the organization to save on energy, maintenance, and cooling costs and improve overall organizational efficiency. Secondly, I would intensively invest in server security to reduce the possibilities of security breaches. It is cost-efficient to install the most secure infrastructure in few high-performance servers. Saving on costs will give my organization a competitive advantage in the industry.
