The Final Assessment for this competency is to create a personal philosophy based on leadership research and assessments. You must include mentoring and coaching skills, as well as emotional intelligence. You will submit a paper in which you describe your own personal philosophy statement for the kind of leader you want to become. In this assignment, you will try to answer the question, how do you see yourself as a leader?

Leadership generally refers to an individual’s potential to influence other people to work together towards achieving collective goals and objectives. Unlike some individuals with innate leadership skills and attributes, my leadership competency has been cultivated by extensive research and observation of various societal leaders. Doing this gave me a chance to identify and implement my preferred leadership philosophy. In line with this, my paper will focus on my journey towards discovering my leadership philosophy. The paper will begin by looking at the various leadership theories, concepts, and beliefs I encountered and a comparison of these theories, beliefs, and concepts. The paper will then outline my strengths and weaknesses and then look at how my strengths can facilitate the implementation of my leadership philosophy and a plan for addressing my weaknesses. The paper will culminate by painting a clear picture of what my leadership philosophy is.
