Accessing Non-Renewable Resources: Countries with access to the planet’s resources continue to grow at a great pace, placing a tremendous strain on the availability of non-renewable resources. What responsibility do these countries have with regard to the rest of the world’s access to these resources?

The rate at which the human population is currently growing is far higher than it was thousands of years ago.  The drastic increase in the population growth rate was first recorded after the development of agriculture. As of 2011, the world population had grown to over seven billion people, and the rate of growth was projected at 2.6 newborn babies every second (Haldane & Toman, 2015). The high population has put a definite strain on the available resources especially on non-renewable resources.
