prefer to mind their own business and not engage neighbors in any activities or problems. The trust in each other has been jeopardized to the extent that fewer Americans believe in their government. As a result, the number of voters has dropped over the years, which implicates the social capital of the state (Moloney, 2018s). Although people are joining groups that share a common interest, the attendance level declines with time. Besides, the past norms which were upheld by the society are not taken seriously like before. Holidays that were meant to bring the community close and unify them have encountered minimal participation, whereby people are increasingly ignoring them. The civil society presence in America has significantly reduced in that activities that call for the unification of the society have declined. The number of people who attend strikes, protests, or activism has dropped, which weakens the democratic aspect.
