Preliminary, chapter seven “As long as Grass Grows or Water Runs” mainly addresses the conflict between the United States government and the Native Americans in the 19th century. Upon the arrival of the white Americans, they wanted to occupy the lands which the Native Americans who are the Indians and displaced them, thus resulting in conflicts. However, white settlers outnumbered the Indian Americans; hence, they started ruling them and drawn them from their rich and fertile lands.
