According to Galitz (2017), about 3,477 people died from road accidents in 2015 due to the distraction caused by the use of mobile phones. It was recorded that the number of people who used phones while driving has increased. Therefore, something has to be done to regulate this habit before more people die. However, the number of cell phone-related accidents recorded in 2015 increased by 8.8 percent from previous years. In 2016, the number also increased, showing that no solution was implemented. Therefore, we are not solving the problem; we are only making it worse. In 2017, Apple came up with a feature that allowed drivers to turn on the do not disturb mode in their phones (Galitz, 2017). However, based on other fancy features, it is not easy for drivers, especially teenagers, to switch their phones off while driving.
