Biodiversity is an important characteristic of communities and biomes. Efforts to preserve biodiversity, though intended to reduce human influence on the environment, might interfere with the natural process of change and evolution. Do you agree with this statement? Biodiversity refers to the variety of living organisms in a specific habitat. Biodiversity includes all flora and fauna and their specific habitat interactions. Due to intensified human activities such as agriculture, biodiversity has been overexploited, and some species may be on the decline. Human beings have initiated preservation and conservation measures to enhance the continuity of these species and avoid their eventual extinction. However, I agree some of these conservation measures interfere with the natural processes of change and may hinder the natural evolutionary processes.
