Bullying in the United States, especially among school children, has become a new normal. Data show that the bullying cases in the country continue to skyrocket despite various initiatives taken by the schools, parents, and community at large. Bullying can be an extremely painful and scary experience both to children and parents or guardians.  For parents, it is a nightmare to realize that their children are experiencing bullying. Menesini & Salmivalli (2017) outline the bullying comprises o physical intimidation or harm like spitting on, pushing, tripping, or hitting. It can be social exclusion which involves teasing, victim, or insulting. Bullying presents harmful consequences to children.  In particular, it affects their physical, emotional, and mental health during their school years and into adulthood.  In some cases, bullying can result in social, physical, or emotional problems and, in some cases, even death. Nickerson (2019) outlines that bullied children are more likely to experience anxiety and sometimes long-term damage to self-esteem. Bullying victims often feel lonely, which even can result in suicide if haste measures are not put in place. Some victims may fight back bullies with extreme violence like shooting and so on.
