When conducting a SWOT analysis, the first element to focus on is an organization’s strengths. Understanding this can help an organization develop strategies to leverage its strengths to facilitate its business objectives and goals. Apple Inc. is one of the most popular companies globally due to its high-quality, innovative, and diversified product portfolio (Smithson, 2020). These elements helped enhance the strength of its brand, which gives it an edge over its competitors in most markets it operates in (Smithson, 2020). Another strength of the company is its extensive resource pool. The company’s revenues and profit margins have consistently grown with each passing year. Weaknesses

Even though understanding an organization’s strengths is vital, identifying its weaknesses is equally important. This is because by doing this, an organization will develop strategies to minimize the impact of its weaknesses. Apple Inc., like many organizations, has a couple of weaknesses. Chief amongst them is its limited product distribution network. This weakness can be attributed to its exclusivity policy, which requires a careful selection of independent retailers selling its products (Smithson, 2020).
