The radio station a person is listening to is transmitting 101,100,000 cycles per second. Radio frequencies are used in radio communication, and they refer to those electromagnetic wave frequencies that vibrate in the range of about 3 kHz to 300GHz. The number 101.1, in this case, refers to the particulars of a particular radio station in respect to other radio stations.
