Chronic pelvic pain is pain at the pelvic and lasts for more than six months. one cause of chronic pelvic pain is endometriosis. Endometriosis is a common cause of chronic pelvic pain and involves ovaries, fallopian tubes, and tissue lining the pelvis (Franco, 2020). It causes severe pain and may also cause fertility problems. Its symptoms include the following. The first one is dysmenorrhea which involves pelvic pain, lower back, and abdominal pain, which occurs before and even after the menstrual cycle. The second is extreme bleeding which sometimes happens during the menstrual cycle. Its other symptom is infertility, especially when it involves the ovaries, but treatment is available. Endometriosis may prevent ovum and sperm from uniting, leading to infertility.
