The implication for the ongoing debate on whether America is post-racial or racism remains salient significantly affects social workers’ roles. The pressure increases for social work leaders to act as allies supporting minority groups. It is because the core values and ethics for social workers is deep-rooted on social justice (Lum, 2014).
