Finally, multi-tenancy and virtualization are different in their level of complexity. Multi-tenancy is more complex and harder to maintain while virtualization is less sophisticated but more comfortable to keep over time. According to Khan and Alzaharani (2018), multitenancy has a high degree of interconnectedness, allowing different tenants to have a shared server. This makes it more complicated in technical maintenance. On the contrary, virtualization is more straightforward as each tenant has a unique application on a separate operating system. Though the costs are high, maintaining this system is more comfortable. Both are however, important as they are fundamental architectures necessary for operating in the cloud environment.
