Many African and Asian countries experienced colonialism and imperialism why they were ruled by foreign and more powerful states.   Compared to Asian countries, African countries experienced colonialism, where the major European power, including the British, French, Germans, Belgium, and others, controlled and dominated them with the aim of economic dominance.  Most Asian countries, including North and Southern Korea, China, Taiwan, and others, experienced imperialism where powerful states extended influence and power to these countries through colonization, military conquest, or other means. In the Asian and Asian countries, colonialists and imperialists dominated these countries socially, politically, and economically (D’Souza,62). Imperialists and colonialists sought to weaken these countries economically through controlling and exploiting their natural resources and supply of raw materials for industries.
