Answer previewDisasters can be natural or man-made, which can cause destruction, injury, or death. In such a situation, the community needs help beyond its resources to deal with the disaster and recover from it. Nurses are qualified personnel who assist individuals and communities prepare for a disaster and help them recover from it (Nies & McEwen, 2019). In this discussion, I will discuss the roles and responsibilities of a nurse concerning the disaster and how my community is prepared to handle natural disasters.
