good friend; however, I am in a dilemma as Sydney’s son is not bound to take up the supervisory position for a long time since he will be leaving for the University in six months. While putting in a good word for Sydney’s son would be a good way of paying back Sydney’s kindness, on the other hand, it would be going against ethical practices expected of me as an employee. My organization invests heavily in employee training, and wasting resources on training an employee who will leave in six weeks would not be ethical for the organization. Hence, my decision will be not to recommend Sydney’s son to the management due to the implications of his temporary employment in the organization.
