United States (US) compliance laws are essential to our society today for several reasons. First, compliance laws regulate the behavior of individuals, organizations, and the government They determine what is acceptable and legal and what is not thus guiding the decisions and actions of all people under the law. Also, compliance laws bring order and safety to the broader community. Failure to comply with them results in legal action against the accused person or body. According to Allen and Koshima (2018), the Department of Justice is the primary agency that determines the impact of compliance. This ensures the successful enforcement of laws and maintenance of order and safety.
