I conducted the assessment on a friend. Before carrying out the examination, I created a rapport with my patient, explaining what was expected during the assessment and why. This is important as it makes the subject feel at ease, and it will achieve the maximum level of cooperation. The patient being familiar to me was an added advantage; creating a connection between us was not an issue because there is a bond between us. This kind of assessment required a specific application of techniques to the organs under examination. The heart and lungs are organs found in the chest. Hence, a chest examination will be conducted. The techniques applicable during this assessment included inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation.
