According to John Henry, Protestantism is not historical Christianity. The Doctrine followed by the Roman Catholics is the perfect representing of historical Christianity. The early church was not Protestantism and so it is wrong for the Protestants to say they abide by the faith of and teachings of Jesus Christ. Protestantism is based on the tenets of Sola Scriptura. They regard the Bible as the only source of the doctrine of Christianity (Newman, 1846). John Henry admits that Christianity has developed over time.
