Deviant behavior is any conduct from a person that infringes the social and cultural norms of any given society. There are numerous deviant behaviors in the community, but they are categorized into two major groups. They include formal deviance and informal deviance. Formal deviance behaviors are those that infringe the codified laws in the society such as rape and murder. Informal deviances are the daily activities that people do knowingly and unknowingly. They violate some or all social and cultural norms of societies such as belching loudly or abusing the elderly. On the other hand, folkways are the frequent, customs, and societal norms of daily life which are always regarded as the right way. Folkways may be positive sanctions or negative sanctions….
