By listening to his experiences actively, I can gain his trust. The Mezzo level focuses on interacting with the client’s close social networks, such as family members and close friends (Mattocks, 2018). Since I have a different social network from Joshua, I will be ready to interact with Joshua’s close social network to understand Joshua better. Moreover, when addressing the macro level, which focuses on how society influences an individual’s behavior, I will acknowledge that Joshua came from a different society from me and therefore faced different challenges. Learning that he faces challenges such as displacement from their home due to war, I will address topics such as social justice since he can relate.
