The Bible is pretty clear in informing Christians that everyone is created equal and in the Image of God. Furthermore, the Bible in James 2:9 states, “But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers” (New International Version, 1978/2011, James 2:9). This avoidance of favoritism is further regurgitated in Luke 14:13, which states “ But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind” (New International Version, 1978/2011, Luke 14:13). Many African American female leaders recognized the favoritism within the country’s education system, which prejudiced a lot of African Americans,
