Answer preview
Effective communication is the interchange of thoughts, information, ideas and knowledge from a source to a receiver so as to ensure the intended purpose of communication is successful (Thompson, 2018). Therefore, this process involves two entities: the receiver of the information and the source of the information. The simple delivery of a message without portraying the motive of the one sending the information goes against the principles of effective communication. Consequently, portraying the message in its entirety and ensuring no single bit of data is lost in the process is the key to effective communication. Effective communication is vital in propagating interpersonal communication and interprofessional collaboration since it fosters efficiency in the work place as well as strengthening the workforce by promoting team work.
