Answer preview

The nonverbal communication behavior enhances my message. This is usually the case like in a situation whereby I would not want disturbance. Sometimes my colleagues can be chatty; therefore, in order to keep focused on my work, I use the nonverbal cues such as maintaining a serious facial expression. This makes them keep off until I am done doing the urgent task. In this case, nonverbal communication helps in defining boundaries and also defines relationships. Nonverbal communication can be hard to avoid because most of the time this behavior happens unconsciously. It, therefore, can affect friendships, cultural interactions since it has an impact on how one sends a message. The nonverbal communication can be used to encourage people to open up about their problems since it helps by providing a greater understanding of the information being shared.
