The environmental burdens faced in the UAE has cost the economy of the UAE a lot of money. First, the water shortage has made the economy of the UAE to depend on imported food. This consumes a lot of resources than when foods are produced locally. Secondly, the government is allocating resources and personnel to control and reduce carbon emission. Therefore, to save on the resources, the government of the UAE needs cost-effective solutions to remedy the burdens. First, the nation should improve local food production by providing more water to the farmers. Secondly, since most of the UAE’s land cannot support farming, the government should lease agricultural lands in other countries for cheap importation of food. Finally, the government should invest in technology and find new ways of producing electricity instead of burning fuels that increase carbon concentration in the air.
