Some of the challenges social workers experience are ethical dilemmas that lack the correct solution. Although there lacks an appropriate strategy to address the dilemmas, ethical principles and standards outlined by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) (2017) and personal morals guide social workers. Ethical decision-making in social work practices is crucial since this enhances the social worker’s professionalism and competence (McCartney & Parent, 2018). Before delving deeper into ethical dilemmas that affect social workers, it is worth understanding the meaning of this word.  In my perspective, an ethical dilemma is a situation that requires an individual to decide between two actions presenting personal and professional conflicts.
