My exhibition will cover architecture and its significance as part of historical record as well as the impact religious, political and social practices played on the development of architectural techniques. I selected this subject because throughout history cultures have devoted time and effort into buildings, monuments and creating shelter. Societies have dedicated resources to erect temples, landmarks, tombs and burial structures to mark their place in history. I will present my exhibition using Microsoft Power Point; It will highlight the pyramids of ancient Egypt, Sculpture and frieze carvings of ancient Greece, coliseums and archways that marked ancient Roman sculpture and lastly places of worship built during the Early Christian period. My exhibition will demonstrate how these cultures have influenced each other through artistic expression and their ideals of beauty. Additionally, my curated collection will illustrate how each culture fused beauty into practical items making them art while also elevating its purpose.

The resources I will use for preliminary research includes the National Geographic website; and the Encyclopedia Britannica both will provide insight and imagery regarding ancient Greek, Egyptian and Roman culture. My research on this topic will contribute to our understanding of the subject by demonstrating where region and polices as well as culture influenced artistic express, its content and context.
