The adolescent stage is characterized by various forms of stressors as people transition from childhood to adulthood. According to Reisner, Greytak, Parsons, & Ybarra (2015), external stressors adolescents may experience are peer pressure to fit in and bullying. Most teenagers are always faced with the challenge of identifying themselves and fitting in socially. Most of the times, they feel that they ought to behave in a particular manner for them to identify themselves with a certain group. This may be in terms of their dressing and behavior.
