Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) refers to primary care facilities funded by the federal government to provide patient care at the community level and was first established in 1965. The core purpose is to provide patient-centered care in communities and targets uninsured populations, low-income earners, and the populations that are medically underserved in the urban and rural areas (Alba, Britigan, Lyden, & Johansson, 2016). The centers allow care through providing affordable services and at the convenience at homeless centers, migrant centers, and other underprivileged groups.
