Answer preview

Regardless of legal prohibitions of abortion and contraceptives, different forms of birth control are highly practiced from ancient days up to today without any legal prosecutions. Birth control can be termed as any method used to prevent pregnancy, including Implant birth control, which re devices put under the skin which contain a hormone called etonogestrel. The implant releases the etonogestrel acting as a sensor to the ovaries for them not to remove the eggs (Lazorwitz et al., 2018). The hormone makes the cervix mucus thicker, making it hard for a sperm to swim to the released eggs. It is 99% effective compared to other birth controls. An intrauterine device (IUD) is a device inserted in the uterus shaped like the letter “T” used to prevent the sperm from reaching and fertilizing the egg. It helps make periods lighter, which is suitable for people with heavy flows. The benefits of IUDs are that they are long-lasting, cost-effective as it’s usually one in 5years and above, and they are safe even for breastfeeding mothers.
