For this paper, I will give you two options–write a ONE page (250 words or so) paper as if it were a movie review that you might read in a newspaper, either saying what you think Ex Machina is trying to show us about the AI future we may be facing (one key point you can develop in that space), OR fleshing out the analogy between the Buster Scruggs vignette involving the Liam Neeson character who exchanges a limbless body reciting the classics of Western civilization for Gallus mathematicus, a chicken who knows arithmetic, and what is happening to the Humanities at TU.

Ex Machina is a science fiction movie which has aspects of artificial intelligence in it. In the film, Nathan creates a robot named Ava, who has capabilities like those of a human being. Nathan who happens to be a CEO of a technology company organizes a competition for programmers and Caleb wins the competition, and he is nominated to spend some time with Nathan. Nathan wants Caleb to conduct a Turing test on Ava to determine the level of her intelligence. This science fiction movie is generally trying to warn us about how dangerous robots which have the abilities of a human can be.
