One of the general education courses instrumental in helping one become a global citizen is Communication and Critical Thinking. This course enables one to be in a better position to form more generalized ideas when making decisions (Arditi, 2004). It also assists one in asking vital questions that may otherwise remain hidden to the unquestioning mind. Another course that is significant in this is Social Sciences and Citizenship. This course ensures that one gets a scope of their contribution to society and consequently utilizes this newfound knowledge to become aware of the issues that affect others in the community.
