I think I took drastic measures involving a social worker. I would have tried to communicate with the physician before questioning his decision. Nonetheless, a nurse’s priorities and critical concerns should be to advocate for the patient’s needs and safety (Mansbach and Bachner, 2015). I was sure that engaging the physician in the matter would not result in any resolutions. It is because the administration had regularly dismissed similar cases, but there were no repercussions.
