During my stay at a public hospital due to my illness, I observed a lot of HIPAA and privacy violations. One of the violations are that nurses did not allow patients to have their own rooms unless they were insured. This resulted to other patients hearing what the nurses and doctors were telling a patient during treatment, thus leading to violation of the patient’s privacy.
