One of his significant contributions to political philosophy is his book called the Essay published in 1689. The book is in four parts, the first looks at “Innatism” which explains that the mind is full of ideas and knowledge. The second explains that all our ideas spring from the experiences we have. The third part looks at the functions of knowledge during the fourth focus on knowledge and its barriers. His other major contribution is in founding the modern philosophical empiricism. Though other people had explored empiricism, Locke gives the most elaborate explanation.
