COVID-19 is a virus from the coronavirus family. The first coronavirus outbreak was reported in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. According to scientists, the COVID-19 is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)[1]. One of the key distinguishing factors about this virus is its fast-spreading nature. Once the first outbreak was reported in Wuhan, most people infected by this virus shot up quickly. The spread of the virus was localized within Wuhan and started making its way outwards towards other territories. Such a phenomenon, coupled with more and more countries reporting cases of infection, prompted the WHO to declare COVID-19 is a global public health concern.[2].
