Veteran homelessness is a major issue in the U.S. explored by researchers over the past years. The homeless veterans are identified either as chronically homeless or from unsheltered arrangements. Other considerations can include veterans at risk of homelessness (Clark et al., 2016). Factors that increase the risk of homelessness among the veterans are poverty, substandard housing, and crowding, and lack of support (Ott, 2018). Veterans of war lack the basic training needed for the transition from war to the new life. The military training received may not be easily transferable to the civilian workforce. This makes it hard to readjust o family life or to get a job.
